An industry-first: clever filament lamps with dimmer functionality added to LEDVANCE Smart+ portfolio

Following its announcement at Light + Building and in time for the summer season, LEDVANCE, the leading LED lighting company, is launching new Smart+ products for the Apple HomeKit and for Smart Home systems that use ZigBee Lightlink. LEDVANCE is the first lighting provider to offer dimmable filament lamps for the Apple HomeKit. Another newcomer to this portfolio is the LED flex strip for outdoors. For ZigBee-based Smart Home systems, LEDVANCE is expanding its portfolio with a smart socket and two luminaires for outdoor applications. The products for the Apple HomeKit can be voice controlled via Siri, whereas Amazon’s Alexa is used for the ZigBee products.

Tim Yun Chen named new CFO of LEDVANCE as of July 1, 2018

Tim Yun Chen (42) has been named new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of LEDVANCE GmbH (LEDVANCE) with effect from July 1, 2018. The LEDVANCE Supervisory Board reached this decision at yesterday’s meeting. Operating out of the global headquarters in Garching, Chen will succeed Oliver Neubrand, who will leave the company at his own request on July 31.

MLS becomes sole owner of LEDVANCE

Garching, Germany – LEDVANCE GmbH (LEDVANCE), one of the world's leading general lighting providers for professional users and end consumers, is now 100 percent owned by the leading Chinese LED lighting company MLS. MLS has taken over the full ownership of LEDVANCE by means of a share deal with the strategic investor IDG Capital and the financial investor Yiwu. As part of the deal, IDG Capital and Yiwu will become shareholders of MLS via a joint investment.
